"I race to win."    Ayrton Senna

Angus Hunt's ultimate goal is to becoming a NASCAR driver. Angus works very hard and makes many sacrifices in his drive to accomplish this goal.

Angus learned to ride a motorcycle when he was 3 years old, and started racing just after his 4th birthday. His first series was at High Falls Supercross, where he went undefeated and won the series championship. During the next few years, Angus raced all over the country from his home state of Georgia, all the way to Los Angeles, CA. He excelled at motocross racing to the level of earning a factory sponsored ride in 2006. In the winter of 2007, due to many injuries, Angus made the move from motorcycles to karts. While Angus was very good racing motocross and supercross, his skills have proven to be even better suited for driving.

Angus worked hard and learned a lot in his rookie year of karting. By winning half of the races he entered, he won the championship in the Cadet class at the Georgia Sprint Kart Association series. In mid-season of 2008, Angus also started competing in the Rotax Micro-max class. He won 2 of his first 3 races, so quickly moved up to the higher horsepower Rotax Minimax class.

In the Fall of 2008, Angus added INEX Bandolero Racing to his development program. Learning to race ovals has proven to be one more area where Angus has excelled. Angus qualified on the pole in his 4th race, finished 2nd in his 5th race, and won his 7th race.

In 2009, Angus competing nationally in karting for the first time. He was ranked the #2 Rotax Minimax driver in the country for most of the year, and backed up that rank with his driving at the Grand Nationals. Angus qualified 7th, but a crash in the final ended his chance for a national championship.

In the Fall of 2010, Angus entered the next level of racing by learning to drive and race the Skip Barber formula race cars.

During 2011, Angus continued developing his skills in open-wheel racing, driving the Skip Barber F2000 cars. But near the end of the year, decided to focus all his attention to becoming the best oval racer he could be, by entering into INEX Legend racing.

Angus' goal is to become an accomplished Legend racecar driver by the end of 2012, move up to the Pro division, and enter late models by 2013.
